The individual will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with stakeholders to drive business improvements and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with varying viewpoints and present to diverse audiences.
• Leverage data analytics to build cohesive narratives and influence business partners.
• Ensure data quality and improve data collection processes.
• Document business requirements for new technology solutions and implement changes.
• Assess situations based on departmental goals and document regulatory requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to analyze needs and share relevant information.
• Provide recommendations to solve complex business issues and develop business cases for projects.
• Support regulatory visits and prepare audit reports for management review.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and evaluate facility environments against OSHA guidelines.
• Evaluate risk assessment models and establish risk management benchmarks.
• Propose and implement security measures and coordinate investigations with law enforcement.
• Streamline workflows and develop methods for process improvement.
• Deliver training modules and evaluate their effectiveness in safety compliance.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws and monitor performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field AND 3 years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety OR 5 years' experience in the field.
• 3 years' experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications such as Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
