About the position

The position is focused on supporting the development of Walmart's Grocery Supply Chain long-term network strategy and Automation roadmap. The role involves collaborating with various teams to create an end-to-end operating model that enhances customer experience while optimizing costs. The successful candidate will leverage data analysis and engineering principles to drive automation solutions within the perishable grocery network.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data and build insights.
  • Apply data analysis and data modeling techniques to maintain data models.
  • Advise on financial tools and build business cases for comparisons.
  • Provide recommendations to solve complex business issues for stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively and prepare structured documents and presentations.
  • Engage with team members to analyze stakeholder needs.
  • Explain operational functions and key roles within the department.
  • Cite examples of electrical design in automating supply chain processes.
  • Describe key measures of success for automation machinery usage.
  • Interpret information to quantify outcomes of supply chain decisions.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 4+ years of Engineering experience, preferably in Supply Chain fulfillment, distribution, or analytics.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel user with data modeling experience.
  • Previous experience with complex business cases and detailed financial models.
  • Ability to influence others and manage team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Data-driven, customer-centric strategic thinker passionate about solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work with details while seeing the big picture.
