About the position

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will play a crucial role in the Health & Wellness Quality and Safety Domain at Walmart. This position focuses on utilizing statistical methods and data exploration techniques to derive actionable insights that improve patient outcomes. The Senior Manager will integrate data from various sources, conduct thorough data analysis, and collaborate with data science and product teams to develop predictive and prescriptive models. This role also involves working with the data-tech solutions team to define requirements for advanced analytics tools, emphasizing the importance of statistical methodology and performance-based KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Make patient safety event data actionable through visualization of patterns, clusters, and trends over time.
  • Perform analytics support to quality and safety experts, demonstrating interactions and correlations between data points.
  • Provide statistical expertise and support through pre- and post-improvement studies, correlation tests, and control charts.
  • Create executive slide decks and stakeholder presentations utilizing data storytelling and visualizations.
  • Advise on the development of advanced analytics tools and self-service analytics platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field with 1 year's supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field such as Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
  • Related industry experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, or eCommerce.
  • Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Supervisory experience.
