About the position

The Senior Manager, SEO, is a pivotal role within the Business division, which focuses on providing services to small and medium businesses, non-profits, and government entities. This position is responsible for driving the SEO strategy and execution to enhance online visibility, increase traffic, and ultimately boost revenue and customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SEO, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex challenges and execute strategies effectively. This role requires collaboration with various internal teams, including marketing, product, and engineering, to ensure alignment and consistency in deliverables. The Senior Manager will also oversee the development of SEO strategies aimed at improving search engine rankings and increasing qualified traffic to the Business website. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies and tactics that drive traffic and revenue. You will lead the tracking and reporting processes to identify performance trends and key opportunities within the SEO program. This includes conducting competitive analyses to identify areas for improvement and differentiation from competitors. You will also be responsible for monitoring performance metrics using analytical tools, providing regular reports, and making recommendations for optimization. Additionally, you will implement keyword research to identify target keywords and lead link-building opportunities with authoritative domains. The Senior Manager, SEO, will play a crucial role in educating the organization on SEO capabilities and benefits, developing training sessions to enhance understanding across teams. This position is essential for ensuring that the Business division leverages SEO effectively to meet its growth objectives and enhance its market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO strategy and tactics to drive SEO traffic, revenue, and acquisition for Business.
  • Lead SEO data tracking and reporting processes to identify performance trends and key opportunities for the SEO program.
  • Implement research, monitor and analyze SEO performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase qualified traffic.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiate the website from competitors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including SEO team, marketing, site-merchandising, products, and Engineering, to ensure consistency in deliverables and alignments.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics using analytical tools, providing regular reporting and recommendations for optimization.
  • Execute weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc SEO reports and dashboards to track business KPIs and other SEO-specific metrics.
  • Identify search insights and behaviors for different personas of targeted customers.
  • Develop and implement keyword research to identify audience-based target keywords.
  • Implement SEO research, analysis, and recommendation processes at different stages of content development projects.
  • Lead projects to optimize site/page structure, crawling, indexing, and key page elements and tags.
  • Lead link building opportunities with relevant and authoritative domains.
  • Develop and execute tracking and reporting strategy on business KPIs and SEO performance metrics.
  • Research and test new ideas, trends, and technologies within SEO, Content Marketing, Social, and other Digital Marketing channels.
  • Develop and deliver SEO training sessions to educate the organization on the capabilities, uses, and benefits of SEO decisions.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of SEO or similar experience, or 2-4 years of Product Marketing experience in an e-Commerce environment.
  • B.S. in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or related field (preference for those with an analytic education).
  • Experience in defining SEO priorities and navigating ambiguity.
  • Strong execution skills and ability to operationalize processes.
