About the position

As a Senior Manager, UX at Walmart, you will lead a team focused on enhancing the customer experience across transportation and real estate products. This role involves strategic leadership in design activities, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class user experiences that are both engaging and efficient. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and create hyper-personalized experiences for millions of customers, driving the vision for a seamless driver experience and integrating competitive organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to articulate the strategy and design for transportation and real estate products.
• Drive key experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate creative problem-solving across cross-functional partners.
• Proactively solicit and leverage design research and analytics to inform product development.
• Own and drive a program of work, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.
• Recruit and mentor design talent within the team.
• Champion the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the organization.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area with 5 years of experience in UI/UX, or 7 years of experience in a related area with 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrable understanding of the transportation space and experience in building user-centric designs.
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills with a strong design aesthetic.
• Ability to communicate concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience in business requirement gathering and end-to-journey mapping.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, or related area.
• Design certification (e.g., IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).
• Experience in retail, supply chain, eCommerce, or healthcare industries.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
