About the position

The Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. This role requires extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while providing prompt responses to maintenance calls. The technician will utilize various tools and technologies to complete repairs and support the operational efficiency of the store's refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work comfortably at heights.

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate's of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
