About the position

The Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. This role requires extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing prompt responses to maintenance calls. The technician will utilize various tools and technologies to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart's safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate's of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
