About the position

The position involves providing administrative and human resource support within Walmart, focusing on payroll processing, compliance with employment laws, and assisting with various HR functions. The role requires effective communication, data management, and collaboration with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Process payroll documentation for pay adjustments by researching, verifying, and filing daily time reports, time and pay adjustments, and payroll edits.
  • Assist with human resource functions including preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and processing reports, documents, and logs to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Respond to issues and questions related to payroll, benefits, and employment, and report deficiencies to management.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, keying, faxing, and answering phones.
  • Enter data in multiple systems and maintain logs.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze reports and other paperwork related to HR functions.
  • Assist with transfer orientation and processing terminations and transfers.
  • Support the hiring process by scheduling interviews and drug screens, completing reference checks, and processing new hires, terminations, and transfers.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience in Walmart Logistics clerical related responsibilities using computer applications OR 1 year's experience in clerical related responsibilities using computer applications OR 1 year's coursework in Human Resource related field AND 1 year's experience in computer applications OR 1 year's experience in human resource activities AND 1 year's experience in computer applications.
