About the position

The Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. This role requires hands-on skills in commercial HVAC and refrigeration, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. The technician will respond to maintenance requests, document repair activities, and ensure adherence to environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair Work Orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights frequently.

Requirements

• 2 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located.
