About the position

The Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. This role requires expertise in commercial HVAC and refrigeration, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety regulations. The technician will respond to maintenance calls, manage work orders, and ensure the safety and functionality of HVAC systems in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights as necessary.

Requirements

• 2 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
