About the position

The position involves driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, managing inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service. The role includes overseeing compliance with company policies, implementing community outreach programs, and supervising the development of associates. The individual will also ensure quality eyewear provision and uphold company values while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in the Vision Center through effective merchandise presentation and inventory management.
• Model and enforce customer service approaches to resolve customer needs and complaints.
• Oversee community outreach programs and encourage associates to engage with the community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations by analyzing reports and implementing safety controls.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
• Consult with and educate customers on eyewear options, verifying prescriptions and maintaining confidentiality.
• Coordinate job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders and supporting business initiatives.
• Implement company values and ethics in business processes and practices.

Requirements

• Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
