About the position

The Vice President in Shares Services & Banking Operations at Morgan Stanley will support the implementation of USD self-clearing capabilities, focusing on the development of USD Wire Room functions, system enhancements, and new service implementation. This role involves managing complex processes, leading project management efforts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective operational services across multiple business units.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts
• Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions
• Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution
• Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations
• Develop USD clearing capabilities, working with critical vendors on product enhancement
• Collaborate with Business, Operations and Technology stakeholders to define requirements, build out, testing, implementation and post live support
• Engage/manage third party technology vendors and market infrastructure/payment systems

Requirements

• Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team
• Comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures
• Ability to think commercially and understand the impact of initiatives and risks on the operational budget
• Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise
• Strong knowledge of USD payment processing including FedWire / CHIPS services, ISO message formatting, settlement instructions, etc.
• Experience working in Agile projects and with third parties including payment systems and tech vendors
• At least 6 years' relevant experience
