About the position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to lead our dealership's pre-owned vehicle sales department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for automotive sales, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Used Car Manager, you will oversee the inventory management, sales strategies, and team performance to ensure a successful and profitable operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the used car department, ensuring optimal inventory levels and turnover rates.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue from used car sales.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct outside sales activities, including cold calling potential customers to generate leads.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust pricing and marketing strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the preparation of vehicles for sale, ensuring they meet quality standards and are presented attractively.
- Collaborate with finance and insurance departments to facilitate smooth transactions for customers.
- Utilize phone etiquette skills to maintain professional communication with customers and vendors.
- Support upselling initiatives by training staff on effective techniques for enhancing customer value.
