The Used Car Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the used car department within a dealership. Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the used car department, including inventory management and sales strategies.
• Develop and implement effective sales techniques to maximize profitability and meet sales targets.
• Oversee the pricing of used vehicles based on market analysis and retail math principles.
• Train, mentor, and supervise sales staff to enhance their performance and customer service skills.
• Maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Conduct regular inventory assessments to ensure optimal stock levels and quality of vehicles.
• Negotiate deals with customers, ensuring transparency and fairness in all transactions.
• Utilize phone etiquette to communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and fostering positive relationships.
• Engage in outbound sales initiatives to attract new customers and expand the dealership's market reach.

Requirements

• 1 year of automotive sales experience
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in sales
• Proficient in retail math to analyze pricing strategies and profitability
• Experience in inventory management to oversee vehicle stock effectively
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with clients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations related to pricing and financing options
• Previous experience in retail sales or dealership environments is highly desirable
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers
