Volkswagen of Oakland is seeking a Full-Time Used Car Automotive Technician to join their team. The role involves working on Volkswagens and other makes, with a focus on providing high-quality service to meet the overwhelming demand for used cars. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance jobs including brakes, oil changes, and alignments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Work efficiently with a sense of urgency to meet service demands.
• Utilize personal mechanical tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure quality of work.
• Provide excellent customer service and care about customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Automotive mechanic experience in a franchised dealership is a plus.
• Experience with tires, oil changes, brakes, and preventative maintenance is required.
• Knowledge of different car makes is necessary; VW or Audi experience is a plus.
• Master certifications are a plus but not required.
• Must own personal mechanical tools.
• Valid driver's license and clear background check are required.
• Timely, trustworthy, and responsible work ethic is essential.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work are necessary.
• ASE certification is a plus, but expired certifications will be considered.
