About the position

The Used Truck Salesperson at MHC Kenworth is responsible for selling used trucks by engaging with existing customers and developing new prospects within a designated territory. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the company's services and products, as well as effective marketing techniques to drive sales and maintain customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Sell used trucks by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects within an assigned territory.
  • Conduct aggressive telephone marketing to prospective customers and assigned accounts.
  • Maintain contact with customers regarding their requirements and stay updated on market and customer trends.
  • Identify and profile prospective customers, developing strategies to obtain orders.
  • Make company services available to customers and refer complaints and leads to the appropriate department managers.
  • Report on competitive activity and keep records of all phases of activities.
  • Write used truck appraisals in the absence of the Used Truck Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of the company's services, products, and marketing techniques.
  • Product knowledge related to used trucks.
  • Direct sales or truck sales experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • High energy level and positive attitude.
  • CDL preferred.
