About the position

The User Experience Designer (UI/UX) role focuses on leveraging user experience research insights to enhance product development discussions and decisions. This position involves creating visualizations that guide product teams in transforming concepts into solutions while adhering to brand standards. The designer will work on multiple products across various platforms, ensuring a high-quality user experience through the design of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. The role also includes mentoring less-experienced designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement user-centered design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design elements or components resulting in high-quality user experience designs.
  • Incorporate branding and common design guidelines into products.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Maintain style guides for varying methods of delivery.
  • Follow appropriate design methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered design.
  • Translate analytics data into visual designs to support interpretation and generation of insights.
  • Monitor external patterns and trends and evaluate their impact on internal design philosophies.
  • Perform research and make recommendations for adopting relevant emerging design trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of work experience in a team environment.
  • 4-7 years of internal or external industry-specific experience in relevant discipline.
  • 4 or more years of experience planning, executing, and analyzing UX design projects.
  • 4 or more years of visual interface design experience applied to web and mobile.
  • 4 or more years of experience applying User-Centered Design principles to complex interface problems.
  • 3 or more years of experience communicating research methodology, design concepts, data analysis, and test results to stakeholders.
  • 3 or more years of experience with technology and product development processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two or more years of visual interface design experience applied to in-vehicle displays.
  • Experience in product discovery, design research, and concept validation.
  • Strong portfolio of UI visual design, task flows, and problem-solving designs.
  • Experience using UX metrics and a user-centered design process to provide insights to product engineering groups.
  • Experience designing for agriculture in-vehicle interfaces.
