About The Position

The User Experience Designer for Entergy's AI organization is responsible for guiding the organization through the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. This role focuses on implementing strategies that enhance user adoption of AI initiatives through human-centric design principles. The designer will collaborate with various teams to conduct UX research, create innovative product designs, and facilitate change management processes to ensure successful product adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of professional experience for Level I; 2+ years for Level II; 5+ years for Senior level in UX design and change management
• Experience with product prototyping and testing
• Background in strategy development and user journeys
• Familiarity with UI and visualizations for analytics products
• Experience with change and communications strategies for digital products
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, XD, Webflow)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with the energy and utility industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Design experiences for successful product outcomes
• Engage and collaborate on product strategy
• Design end-to-end solutions
• Conduct UX research and discovery
• Perform experience research, empathy mapping, ethnography, and journey mapping
• Develop design strategy and information architecture
• Create wireframes and prototypes
• Conduct storytelling and interaction design
• Perform usability testing and user interviews
• Document design processes and quality assurance
• Manage design systems and stay updated on design best practices
• Develop plans to facilitate AI technology adoption
• Collaborate with project leaders to address change impacts
• Identify risks and challenges in product development
• Establish feedback mechanisms for user and stakeholder input
• Engage with project teams and stakeholders to understand requirements
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure project support
• Communicate design processes and decisions effectively
• Facilitate design and product strategy workshops
• Train and mentor teams on design thinking principles
