About the position

Stride Tutoring is seeking a User Experience Researcher to support the development of an innovative educational platform that connects tutors and students. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance user experience through research and insights, ensuring that the platform meets the educational needs of its users. The researcher will lead efforts throughout the product lifecycle, from initial market research to usability testing and customer satisfaction measurement.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead research efforts to support product development across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify and define research objectives.
• Employ various research methodologies to understand user experiences and needs.
• Manage research operational tasks like participant recruiting and gift card distribution.
• Present research insights to key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Equip stakeholders with insights to inform product strategy and development decisions.
• Work closely with product teams to ensure features meet user needs and feedback.
• Establish customer satisfaction measurement processes to gather actionable insights.
• Share insights about users' needs and experiences throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Five years of industry experience in UX research, product research, or related fields, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop product strategies.
• Deep knowledge of human-centered design and product research methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with building surveys, developing unmoderated tests, and facilitating usability tests and interviews.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web tools.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or industry-recognized certification in a relevant field.
• Prior experience in user experience or product research within the EdTech sector.
• Knowledge of the EdTech market and trends.
• Understanding of GDPA, COPPA, and FERPA standards.
