About the position

As a User Experience Researcher at Stride Tutoring, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational platform by conducting user experience research throughout the product design lifecycle. This position involves collaborating with various teams to understand user needs and behaviors, ensuring that the platform effectively meets educational goals. You will lead research initiatives, present insights to stakeholders, and contribute to the overall product strategy, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user empathy within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead research efforts to support product development across the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify and define research objectives.
  • Employ various research methodologies to understand user experiences and needs.
  • Manage research operational tasks like participant recruiting and gift card distribution.
  • Present and communicate research insights to key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Equip designers and product managers with insights to inform product strategy and development decisions.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure features meet user needs and address feedback.
  • Establish and own customer satisfaction measurement processes to glean actionable insights.
  • Create empathy throughout the organization by sharing insights about users' needs and experiences.

Requirements

  • Five years of industry experience in UX research, product research, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop product strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of human-centered design and product research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with building surveys, developing unmoderated tests, and facilitating usability tests.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in human-computer interaction, psychology, or product management.
  • Prior experience in user experience or product research within the EdTech sector.
  • Knowledge of the EdTech market and trends.
  • Understanding of GDPA, COPPA, and FERPA standards.
  • Experience using tools like Heap, Hotjar, Qualtrics, UserTesting.com, and Figma.
