About the position

We are seeking a skilled User Experience (UX) Researcher to join our client's dynamic team. This role primarily involves conducting usability testing to drive the development of user-centered digital solutions. While our primary focus is on usability testing, we are also open to leveraging early-stage and exploratory research to inform our design decisions. You will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and a UX leader who values research-driven insights and will support you in advocating for actionable outcomes based on research findings. The position is based in San Antonio, Texas, and offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in your work environment. This is a 12-month contract role with the potential for extension or hire, making it an exciting opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the field of user experience research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online usability tests and employ various user research methods to gather insights and inform the design process for both desktop and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to ensure a thorough understanding of both customer and employee needs during the design and development of digital solutions.
• Work in a cross-functional, Agile/Scrum product development environment, fostering a highly collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation.
• Present research findings effectively to team members and stakeholders, influencing design decisions and fostering a user-centered mindset.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in conducting online usability tests and using user research methods to influence design decisions.
• Familiarity with working in an Agile/Scrum product development environment.
• Strong portfolio or work samples showcasing your approach to user research and how you present your findings to your team.
