About the position

The User Experience Researcher at SLB is responsible for planning and conducting field research to derive actionable insights that enhance user experience. This role involves developing and managing research projects, analyzing data, and conducting usability research both online and in the field. The researcher collaborates with product teams to test business requirements and works closely with designers to evaluate proposed design initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct field research including interviews and observations.
• Develop and manage research projects to derive actionable insights.
• Conduct usability research online and in the field.
• Provide recommendations for improvement based on research findings.
• Collaborate with product teams to test business requirements using heuristic and qualitative methods.
• Determine user needs through task-focused analyses.
• Work with user experience and visual designers to test proposed design initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in user experience research.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders, domain experts, users, and developers.
• Mastery of wire-framing and prototyping software.
• Understanding of user-centered design theory and best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Self-driven and detail-oriented with strong design skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
