About the position

Zions Bancorporation is redefining the experience of working in a financial institution, emphasizing a commitment to technology and innovation. With over 150 years of service to our community, clients, and colleagues, we are currently focused on expanding our digital presence through innovative technologies. The Digital Products and Strategy team is at the forefront of this transformation, and we are seeking a User Experience Researcher to join our team. This role is pivotal in discovering and building sustainable solutions for our customers. As a UX Researcher, you will leverage insights from observed customer behaviors to inform the design and development of systems that will directly enhance the lives of our customers. In this position, you will be responsible for planning and executing both generative and evaluative research, which includes formative and summative studies. You will create necessary artifacts in preparation for research and manage the participant pool, including sampling, recruitment, and onboarding of participants for various studies. Your role will involve running moderated usability studies, in-depth interviews (IDIs), card and tree sorting exercises, surveys, split testing, and unmoderated testing, whether live or remote. You will also be responsible for taking notes and moderating sessions, analyzing and synthesizing findings from multiple sources into actionable recommendations, and communicating these recommendations to cross-functional team members such as UX designers and product managers. Additionally, you will archive and accession research studies and artifacts in our repository, champion efforts to improve and document research processes, and perform other duties as assigned.
