About the position

The User Experience (UX) Designer, Level III at Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) is responsible for enhancing user experiences across various digital platforms. This role involves applying extensive knowledge of web design tools and technologies to create user-centered web-based products. The designer will manage project design reviews, resource planning, and execution, ensuring that the visual design meets current standards and trends. The position requires a deep understanding of customer goals to create engaging and effective user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design evaluations for the customer's web enterprises to enhance user experience.
• Create and deliver design educational and informational briefs.
• Collaborate with UI/UX Research and Development teams to evaluate ideas and concepts.
• Create and implement CSS, HTML5, and other markup languages to support design implementation.
• Define design rationale and explain visual choices to cross-functional teams.
• Create detailed wireframes for complex web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to conceptualize, design, and prototype user experiences.
• Participate in design activities to identify new product ideas and optimize existing products.
• Research and implement modern web technologies to create innovative user interfaces.
• Develop recommendations on information architecture, user experience, and web best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in the field.
• 7+ years of experience in user experience design.
• 3+ years of experience implementing user experience methodologies and web best practices.
• Nielsen Norman Group UX certification preferred.
• TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Intermediate technical experience in creating UI elements for multiple browsers and devices.
• Experience with web-based scripting languages.
• Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
• Experience designing for front-end development and web applications.
