About the position

The User Experience (UX) Designer, Level III at Chenega Corporation is responsible for enhancing user experiences across various digital platforms by applying extensive knowledge of web design tools and technologies. This role involves creating user-centered web-based products, managing design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality visual designs. The designer will utilize their skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Suite to develop layouts and UI designs that meet customer needs and adhere to best practices in usability and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design evaluations for the customer's web enterprises to enhance user experience.
  • Create and deliver design educational and informational briefs.
  • Work with UI/UX Research and Development teams to evaluate ideas and concepts.
  • Create and implement CSS, HTML5, and other markup languages for design implementation.
  • Define design rationale and explain visual choices to cross-functional teams.
  • Create detailed wireframes for complex web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to conceptualize and prototype user experiences.
  • Participate in design activities to identify new product ideas and optimize existing products.
  • Research and implement modern web technologies to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Share best practices around information architecture and visual designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in the field.
  • 7+ years of experience in user experience design.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing user experience methodologies and web best practices.
  • Intermediate technical experience in creating UI elements for multiple browsers and devices.
  • Demonstrated experience with web design software (Adobe Master Collection CS6/Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Experience in applying best practices for web accessibility and usability.
