About the position

The User Experience (UX) Designer at HDR is responsible for designing intuitive and functional user interfaces for web and mobile applications. This role involves collaborating with product teams and engineers to translate business and user goals into innovative design solutions, conducting user research, and creating design deliverables to effectively communicate ideas. The position emphasizes the importance of design consistency and maintainability across internal applications, contributing to a culture of employee ownership and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, functional user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product and engineers to translate business and user goals into innovative design solutions.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Create and tailor design deliverables, such as wireframes, research decks, and hi-fidelity designs, to best communicate designs to users, engineers, and business partners.
• Ensure design consistency, maintainability, and re-usability across internal applications.
• Effectively translate ideas into requirements and designs providing valuable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting the design and development of enterprise level applications following modern software practices.

• Experience designing for native iOS mobile and tablet applications.
• Experience designing in Figma.
• Experience with web development.
• Experience creating and extending a design system.
• Experience working with Agile development teams.
