About the position

As a User Experience (UX) Designer at SPECTRAFORCE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the software design across mobile, web, and desktop platforms. Our Client User Experience and Design team is a multi-disciplinary group that includes user experience designers, visual designers, prototypers, and researchers. We collaborate closely with strategic business and technology partners to create best-in-class software experiences that are user-centered. Your work will focus on understanding our clients' needs and designing tools that help them achieve their financial goals. In this position, you will be responsible for leading design consulting efforts, facilitating collaborative design sessions, and driving design decisions through effective storytelling. You will represent the design team brand and ensure a consistent design process is delivered to our partners. Your ability to visualize ideas through sketches, diagrams, wireframes, or prototypes will be crucial, as will your commitment to maintaining high design standards and conducting quality assurance on deliverables. You will also be expected to manage design schedules, communicate project statuses, and support research efforts. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with all partners, listen strategically to feedback, and guide the delivery of design solutions. Passion for UX design, empathy for users, and a curiosity to innovate and improve will be key attributes that you bring to this role. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideation.
  • Lead design reviews and drive decisions.
  • Effectively communicate design solutions to partners through storytelling and design thinking.
  • Represent the design team brand and deliver a consistent design process to partners.
  • Visualize ideas in clear forms such as sketches, diagrams, wireframes, or prototypes and provide appropriate documentation.
  • Set expectations with the project team and prioritize design activities.
  • Create and maintain design schedules and communicate project status with the team.
  • Conduct primary design activities, create deliverables, and perform quality assurance at an expert level.
  • Participate in and support research efforts to inform design decisions.
  • Support UX team members and listen to feedback to guide delivery.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in interaction design focused on digital products.
  • An online portfolio demonstrating interaction design process and thinking.
  • Experience with user-centered interaction design processes, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, conducting usability tests, and creating annotated design specifications.
  • Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and Agile development methodology.
  • Strong self-management skills and comfort with substantial responsibility, working directly with client partners.
  • Ability to create and manage design project schedules.
  • Experience participating in and leading design thinking sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective relationship-building skills to partner cross-functionally and work effectively with various levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design delivery focus.
