About the position

The User Experience Lead will be responsible for establishing the UX vision and delivering exceptional user experiences and data visualizations that create customer value and drive business outcomes. This role involves building a strong design system, fostering empathy with users, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop user-centered products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the overall experience design vision aligned with company goals, target audiences, and the product roadmap for ApartmentIQ.
• Own the design system, along with a plan for evolutionary implementation to bring the vision to reality over time.
• Work with teams across product, design, and engineering to prioritize and spec out new features to build.
• Work directly with engineering to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your vision, technical feasibility, and user value.
• Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels.
• Conduct user research to gain deep insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points. Utilize findings to inform and validate design decisions.
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs to enhance user satisfaction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business.
• Experience working on a small design team and 'doing it all'.
• Have done in depth work on both UX and UI.
• Clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering.
• Invested in your craft and have experience with data visualization and interaction design.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior designers.
