About the position

The User Experience (UX) Researcher, Level III at Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) plays a crucial role in enhancing user experiences for government operations by applying extensive knowledge in various sciences such as Human Factors, Marketing, and Psychology. This position involves organizing and directing research projects, developing proposals, and executing usability studies to inform design decisions and improve customer satisfaction. The researcher will utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to gather insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct UX research on websites, software applications, and mobile apps to enhance user experience.
  • Design user-centered test plans across the design cycle from concept to post-release evaluations.
  • Conduct web research studies including usability studies, persona creation, and cognitive walkthroughs.
  • Incorporate quantitative and qualitative UX research methodologies to convey complex requirements.
  • Provide data-driven reports in various formats to diverse audiences based on research findings.
  • Create and deliver UX educational and informational briefs.
  • Utilize UX research techniques such as observations, interviews, surveys, and usability tests to understand user needs and goals.
  • Communicate research findings through written reports and oral presentations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX research or related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience implementing industry standards for user experience methodologies and web best practices.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, qualitative analysis, and/or quantitative analysis.
  • Experience with analytics tools.
  • Nielsen Norman Group UX certification preferred.
  • TS/SCI clearance required, with the ability to pass a CI polygraph.
  • Intermediate experience in conducting interviews, user requirements analysis, and usability testing.
