About the position

The User Experience (UX/UI) Specialist at APK Solutions LLC will support government clients by designing and developing user-friendly digital content and interfaces. This role involves creating visual designs, ensuring compliance with usability standards, and maintaining web platforms, particularly for the intelligence community.

Responsibilities

• Design briefings and digital announcements
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to CRI Front Office
• Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• Use appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic and/or web design
• Work with writers and CRI Front Office to produce final design
• Test graphics and webpages for 508x compliance and usability
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Redesign internal website using WordPress
• Maintain SharePoint Site as an Administrator and provide configuration support for new and current pages

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a web designer
• Demonstrated graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficiency in languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Up-to-date digital projects
• Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or Web Development or 5 years of on the job experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with digital content creation such as blogs and podcasts
