About the position

The User Interface Designer at Lams Technology LLC will play a crucial role in the InnovateOhio Platform team, focusing on the management and evolution of the design system while ensuring high-quality user experiences. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented designer who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and accessible digital products. The role is hybrid remote, requiring two days in the office weekly, and involves leading design projects and advocating for inclusive design practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the design system by conducting weekly Design Operations meetings and managing the product roadmap.
• Create interactive prototypes for websites, products, and components, refining designs based on user testing and feedback.
• Guide external designers in promoting user experience philosophy and best practices for design system components.
• Define, document, and communicate design guidelines, patterns, and standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and feedback through discussions and design reviews with internal and external teams.
• Advocate for inclusive design practices, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards.

Requirements

• 7 years of professional experience in UI design, UX design, or interaction design.
• 5 years of experience working with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, UXPin, AdobeXD, etc.
• A portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design work is required.
• 2 years of professional experience working with design systems.
