About the position
Brooksource is seeking a Software Engineer (UI) to join a Fortune 500 client's team in Milwaukee, WI. This hybrid role focuses on developing a user portal that automates email communications and notifications related to insurance plans, triggered by significant life events. The position involves building a new user interface to enhance end-user self-sufficiency and modernize the data structure, creating new APIs, and streamlining the onboarding process for improved efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic user interfaces using React and Next.js, ensuring a responsive and engaging user experience on the new user portal.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a UI Engineer, frontend developer, etc.
- Proficiency in React.js.
- Proficiency in Next.js, preferred.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
