About the position

The User Interface/User Experience Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing the digital user experience within the eCommerce team. This position focuses on creating user-centered designs for various platforms, including web and mobile applications, while collaborating with a diverse team of designers, stakeholders, and developers. The designer will also mentor other UX resources and serve as the voice of the customer through research and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager, Digital User Experience within the eCommerce team.
  • Deliver user-centered designs for web, mobile web, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with creative designers, business stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Review and mentor other UXA resources as needed.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer through research, analytics, and industry knowledge.
  • Transform business requirements and user needs into effective user experiences.
  • Lead brainstorm sessions and workshops for UX insights.
  • Identify and execute necessary research needs, working with the customer research team or independently.
  • Analyze research results to refine design strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and heuristic evaluations to assess usability.
  • Evaluate new and existing features, making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user experience solutions.
  • Create documentation, including presentations, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Participate in design reviews to share progress and gather feedback.
  • Interact effectively with senior executives.
  • Resolve issues independently as they arise.
  • Manage multiple complex projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Lead projects without significant oversight and mentor other UXA resources.

Requirements

  • Experience in user interface and user experience design for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of UX best practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to conduct user research and analyze data to inform design decisions.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and trends.
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies.
