USPI is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role based in Frisco, TX. This position is crucial for performing a wide variety of payroll and benefit functions, as well as resolving any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of related payroll experience and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with various departments to manage payroll data, answer inquiries, and assist with compliance related to payroll and benefits. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will handle timekeeping responsibilities, including answering questions related to the Kronos timekeeping system, assisting with software setup and maintenance, and reviewing the import of new hires and changes from the Enterprise system to Kronos. The candidate will also be responsible for creating and loading Kronos import files for new facilities, ensuring a smooth payroll process. The payroll responsibilities include transmitting and downloading payroll data each pay cycle, entering maintenance for new facilities, and managing the year-end payroll process to ensure W2 accuracy. The Payroll Specialist will serve as a resource for payroll and tax discrepancy research and will act as a liaison between the facility and ADP Payroll/Tax. Knowledge of IRS and state regulations, as well as multi-state pay practices, is essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate will create and run ad hoc query reports in Enterprise and assist with special projects related to payroll. The position also involves benefits administration, where the Payroll Specialist will answer basic benefit-related questions, conduct benefit discrepancy research, and ensure compliance with wage assignments and garnishments. The ideal candidate must be a highly energetic self-starter, result-oriented, and customer service-driven, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and professionalism.
