About The Position

The USRAP Operations Advisor, System Solutions Champion at HIAS is responsible for managing and coordinating with Department of State-funded System Solution Champions (SSCs) at Resettlement Support Centers (RSCs). This role focuses on enhancing collaboration between the Refugee Processing Center (RPC) and overseas RSCs, overseeing the utilization of the START system to improve processing flows and support new USRAP initiatives. The position requires strong communication and analytical skills to facilitate training, develop standard operating procedures, and address processing issues within the USRAP framework.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience required.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in similar work.
  • Knowledge of the USRAP required; experience with a national Resettlement Agency or local affiliate preferred.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Agile preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex information into digestible formats.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at a national Resettlement Agency or local resettlement affiliate agency.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify change management needs, software enhancements, and backlog prioritizations through regular coordination with RSC SSCs.
  • Manage a community of practice of SSCs to collect feedback and standardize best practices.
  • Lead trainings, presentations, workshops, and webinars with domestic and international partners regarding START development.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids for RSC stakeholders as needed.
  • Discuss USRAP processing issues with stakeholders and provide recommendations for product backlogs and issue resolution.
  • Support the collection and reporting of requirements-related metrics.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant RPC technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
