About the position

The Utilities Design Drafter will assist in the design and drafting of substation layouts and schematics within the Utilities Substation and Distribution industry. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, with a focus on creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D modeling of substation components. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure accurate and efficient designs, contributing to a long-term career path within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of substation layouts and schematics.
• Utilize MicroStation and AutoCAD for creating detailed 2D drawings.
• Employ Revit and Inventor for 3D modeling of substation components.
• Collaborate with Engineers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient designs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the utilities and design industry.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD is mandatory; proficiency in Revit, Inventor, and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
• Strong understanding of design principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
