About the position

Parsons is seeking a Utilities Engineer to join our team, focusing on ensuring the continuity of Department of Defense (DoD) missions and critical infrastructure. This role involves assessing vulnerabilities and survivability against various threats, including natural disasters and technological failures. The Utilities Engineer will work with assessment teams to identify utility-related vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for mitigation, ensuring operational readiness and mission success.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess utilities supporting customer missions and related facilities using a consistent methodology.
• Identify utility-related vulnerabilities and increase customer awareness of potential impacts on mission execution.
• Provide service support to operational equipment, personnel, and mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, or marine engineering.
• Operational experience from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program, U.S. Army Prime Power Program, or equivalent industry utilities experience.
• 6+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Valid Passport and Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.

Nice-to-haves

• PE Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to accept worldwide deployments in high threat areas.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to prepare written reports, white papers, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Knowledgeable in risk management processes such as All-Hazards Threat Assessment (AHTA).
• Highly organized and able to work independently.
