Responsibilities

  • Weigh vehicles entering the City's transfer stations and landfill, recording commodities.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Assess applicable fees for services provided.
  • Receive money and record charges for customers accurately.
  • Handle cash and charge systems, ensuring daily balance reports are accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations regarding waste dumping.
  • Provide superior customer service with integrity and commitment to efficiency.

Requirements

  • One year of customer service experience, preferably in cash handling or a large call center environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and database navigation.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a solid waste customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with solid waste software such as Weigh Master or Scale Scan.
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Experience with cash handling and credit card payment processing.
