About the position

The Maintenance Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain high standards of safety and sanitation for both members and team members. This role involves gathering carts from the parking lot, ensuring cleanliness throughout the club, and supporting club policies and procedures to deliver exceptional service to members.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties throughout the club.
• Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Gather and return carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Remove trash and debris from the parking lot and exterior of the club.
• Ensure carts are well-stocked and in working order at the club entrance.
• Perform maintenance tasks including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and washing glass.
• Maintain outdoor grounds including cart corrals and sidewalks.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler safely.
• Restock maintenance/cleaning supplies and keep supply areas organized.
• Perform minor building repairs and notify management of major repair needs.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.

• Experience in a similar role is a plus.
