About the position

We are currently hiring Utility Aides (Dishwashers) to join the Village at Orchard Ridge team. Every job in our community plays an important role in caring for our residents. Utility Aides are mainly responsible for washing dishes using a dish machine, but sometimes you may need to hand wash items like large pots and pans that do not fit in the machine and help with other tasks as needed. You will also transport food products, stock new inventory, take away trash, and clean kitchen equipment to ensure cooks have a clean and sanitized kitchen, which makes it safe for everyone. The salary range is $15 - $16 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes using a dish machine.
• Hand wash large pots and pans that do not fit in the machine.
• Transport food products to and from the kitchen.
• Stock new inventory as needed.
• Take away trash from the kitchen area.
• Clean kitchen equipment to maintain a sanitized environment.

Requirements

• Team player mentality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• 1 year of commercial cooking or health care food preparation is preferred, but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in senior care is a plus, but not mandatory.
