About the position

The Utility Export position at G&C Food Distributors involves providing technical facility support and maintenance oversight. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of food shipments and compliance with USDA regulations while working independently and making critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing shipments, documentation, and record keeping according to USDA international regulations.
• Collecting data from products for country requirements for various regions.
• Hand selecting orders for customers within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler, and freezer.
• Accurately labeling products with various forms of labeling specific to the region being shipped to, including Spanish interpretation labels and USDA labels.
• Coordinating inspections needed with the USDA inspector.
• Assuring product integrity from start to finish, including stacking products on pallets or in containers as needed following proper selecting procedures.
• Staging and loading containers on proper dock locations and assuring loads are secure for travel.

• Strong communication skills, able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
