About the position
Utility Partners of America (UPA) is seeking a Utility Lighting Technician to join their team. This full-time, traveling position involves working across North Carolina and South Carolina, focusing on utility lighting maintenance and installation. The role offers an opportunity to learn a trade and enhance skills while providing full benefits, including paid training and tools.
Responsibilities
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Able to walk, stand, bend, climb and kneel throughout the day
- Prior utility lighting maintenance or installation experience is a plus, but not required
- Prior experience operating an aerial boom (bucket) truck is required
- Able to work outdoors and withstand regional seasonal weather including inclement weather
- Comfortable working from heights up to 40 feet (aerial boom, ladder, climb)
- Must consent to a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records check
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience operating an aerial boom (bucket) truck is required
- 1 year of tree/pole climbing experience is preferred
