The Utility Locate Technician position at ELM Utility Services involves working independently in the Dillon, Montana area to locate and mark underground utilities, ensuring the safety and reliability of essential services such as gas, electric, and communications. Technicians will utilize state-of-the-art technology and company-provided equipment to perform their duties efficiently and effectively, contributing to the community's infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using a company-provided vehicle as a mobile office to complete daily locate requests.
• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities, primarily electric and gas lines, using marking paint and other tools.
• Complete all necessary digital documentation and paperwork related to locate requests.
• Log in each morning from the vehicle/mobile office to receive daily route and locate requests.
• Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner as directed.
• Work periodic overtime and participate in weekend on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, complying with DOT regulations.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
