This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to work independently for extended periods, often in challenging weather conditions and over rough terrain. The job is covered by the IBEW bargaining agreement, and candidates must meet specific educational and training requirements, including successfully completing Ameren Missouri Locator qualification training. The position also has a domicile requirement, necessitating that employees live within 25 miles of the job site.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn and use Ameren's Gas Compliance Software and related hardware
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently for extended periods in the field
- Willingness to work long hours in all weather conditions
- Ability to walk over rough terrain
- Availability for emergency call-outs and overtime
- Possession of a valid Missouri Class E driver's license
- Must receive a recommend status from CAST test
