Requirements

• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Help operate boilers and related equipment to maintain steady steam production
• Check gauges, record readings, and observe equipment performance during assigned shifts
• Test boiler water and assist with chemical treatment procedures
• Assist with routine chores, equipment checks, and completion of preventive maintenance tasks
• Log coal usage, update shift records, and document plant activities as required
• Follow all safety procedures and report abnormal equipment functions to supervisors
