The role reports directly to the Director of Construction. As a Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of transmission and substation projects from inception through to energization. This includes initial engineering, project bidding, negotiation, contract awarding, financial forecasting, procurement of materials, construction, and commissioning. You will lead the development and planning of new projects, including site selection, layout, design, and configuration based on specific project goals. You will review and provide feedback on detailed design packages to ensure contractor compliance with the client's specifications for design, materials, and construction, manage negotiations, and approve change orders. Mentoring internal staff, leading teams, maintaining strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, and staying informed about industry trends and technological advancements will be key aspects of your position. You will also lead efforts to revise design and construction specifications as necessary, secure all necessary project-related outages, oversee and approve invoicing for capital projects, conduct monthly project update meetings, and develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and technical objectives to ensure successful outcomes. Ensuring adherence to the client's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards and policies will be a priority, along with occasional travel to West Texas to monitor project progress and facilitate the transition of projects from construction to operations.
