About the position

Professional, supervisory, administrative and technical work directing all activities relating to a large S&WB Bureau. Some positions may also function as the second in command to a Utility Services Administrator. Work includes planning, assigning and reviewing the work of lower level managers and may include a staff of professional, technical and clerical employees. Work includes establishing and monitoring management controls for assigned operational area and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to Board operations where applicable; and related work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all activities relating to a large S&WB Bureau.
  • Function as the second in command to a Utility Services Administrator.
  • Plan, assign, and review the work of lower level managers.
  • Establish and monitor management controls for assigned operational area.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Six (6) years of responsible professional experience managing meter monitoring and maintenance activities for a large water utility company, with two (2) years at the supervisory level.
  • For promotional candidates: Permanent status with the Sewerage & Water Board in a class of work having a pay grade equal to or higher than Utility Services Manager (pay grade 88), with two (2) years at the supervisory level.
