About the position

The Director of Digital Design and Football Video Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of video operations and digital content for the Miami Football program. This role involves collaborating with the head football coach to fulfill video needs, managing post-production tasks, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations. The position requires a strong focus on graphic design and digital media, as well as the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes and designs videotaping plans with input from coaching staff.
  • Coordinates physical set-up for videotaping of football games and practices.
  • Supervises transportation of equipment to football games.
  • Supervises and trains employees in all facets of the operation of the Video Department.
  • Generates edited tapes and distributes them to appropriate personnel while maintaining archives.
  • Produces situational cut-ups and statistical data videos for coaching staff.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements network system software and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintains computer files and software and performs routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Performs upgrades and configuration of video software programs for the network system.
  • Coordinates and trades film in accordance with MAC and NCAA guidelines.
  • Performs troubleshooting and problem resolution with external technical service providers.
  • Purchases equipment and supplies for department personnel.
  • Develops short and long-term strategic planning for equipment acquisition.
  • Produces highlight tapes for promotional recruitment and motivational use.
  • Manages and updates interactive display and digital signage.
  • Assists with video production and creation as needed.
  • Meets graphic design needs for coaches on all platforms.
  • Manages, creates, and distributes content for social media.
  • Protects Miami's brand by enforcing the use of correct fonts and designs.
  • Coordinates creative designs optimized for target platforms and channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years experience in Football Bowl Subdivision
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and supervise multiple complex productions.
  • Experience with video editing and computer analysis systems.
  • Experience with BrightSign, Photoshop, Flash, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and audio production software.
  • Superior graphic design and video editing skills in DVSport.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
