About the position

Solvay is all about chemistry, not just in terms of chemical reactions but also in the collaboration of bright minds working together. The Maintenance department, consisting of over 50 people, is dedicated to ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance at our manufacturing site. As a Maintenance Surface Utility, you will provide utility and cleanup maintenance support for all surface facilities, contributing to the growing Soda Ash family and positively impacting Solvay's transformation journey. Your responsibilities will include performing general labor tasks such as shoveling, painting, moving materials, cleaning, and baghouse maintenance, along with other duties as assigned. This position offers a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, painting, moving materials, cleaning, and baghouse maintenance.
  • Provide utility and cleanup maintenance support for all surface facilities.
  • Contribute to the safety and reliability of the manufacturing site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to learn and apply all safety requirements.
  • Above average written and organizational skills for required job activities.
  • Willingness to work in dusty, hot, and/or noisy environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, pull/push, and carry equipment, tools, and other objects weighing up to fifty pounds.
