About the position
As a Utility Worker at Meijer, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment for customers. This entry-level position involves various retail tasks, including customer service, cart management, and maintaining store cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Assist at the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with various departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
